I'd appreciate the challenge, as much a challenge as you can muster. Building contests are no fun when no one else tries! But please don't be too disappointed when you lose.. >;-D

i won fair and square!
You did, you did. But you may have trouble winning by such a landslide next time there's a contest.

Hello everyone!

I am back from the dead. I haven't been on in a long while. I've been quite busy the past couple of months, but now that I am on summer break I should have more time to play! During this little vacation from Minecraft I've been quite a busy bee. At first, I was swamped with school projects and studying for final exams, but at the same time participating in sports and working at my job. I had very little free time to spend playing games, unfortunately. What little time I had, I was chasing a girl. I juggled all these things and came out all right by the time the end of school rolled around, but I still wasn't free to go. I had been planning and paying for (hence the working) a trip to Japan to study Japanese and of course sight-see and goof off. I went alone, which was an experience in itself. While there I enjoyed all the sights and scenery, even though I admit I didn't learn a whole lot of Japanese. But what can you do, you know? There's only so much you can understand after being in another culture for a couple of weeks. Anyways, I'm back now, quite enlightened, ready to put all my inspiration into construction! The rest of my summer is still quite busy, studying for SAT exams and planning events and whatnot, but I'll be trying to get on the server more consistently. Also, I think it's worth noting that the girl I was chasing is my girlfriend now, so yay me! haha.

I was bummed to miss out on participating in May's building contest. Chiefy didn't deserve that easy win! I hope there will be one for July so I can reclaim my domination of the building contests. Of course, it's up to all of you to unseat me  ;)

Hope to see you around, Froobians!

Projects / The Grand Tyran Road
April 26, 2015, 06:26:18 PM
It has come to my attention that the great island of Falmat, while relatively close to many structures and to spawn, lacks sufficient trade routes to keep its economy as profitable as would be preferred. For this reason I have decided to begin construction on the Grand Tyran Road, a pathway that will hopefully stretch from spawn to Falmat, passing settlements along the way.

(The REAL reason for this build is because I thought the "Projects" subforum was too empty  ;D)

Anyways.

Day 1:

X_ium was with me as I laid the first blocks of the road. It shall be made of gravel and cobblestone slabs. A big thank you to Scam_Artist for donating gravel, which allowed me to get right started on the road!

I wound my way through the desert, dodging mountains of sand and lava pits. Be sure to check the Tyran's progress on the Dynamap in the future!

I ran out of gravel, but i can see a new biome in the horizon. I am satisfied for now.

I guess its off to the bottom of the ocean for me. Gravel mining is tough work! That being said, feel free to donate supplies or your own cheap labor to the Grand Tyran Road  :)

Ok. Now we need a plugin that makes sand act like that and a way of flipping the hourglass.
We do have one! It's called "imagination." It's consistency is a little sketchy though.

Thats looks really cool. however, the point of a jail isnt to have a good veiw or feel compfortable.
Oh, don't worry. It's quite hopeless if you think about it. Imagine the dread of sitting in an hourglass, filling faster and faster every second just to drown you in sand . Just when you are about to meet your maker, when you feel the sand burn as it slowly covers your head and chokes you, the hourglass flips and the slow terror starts all over again.

Again and again and again.

Until the almighty Froob frees you from your torment, of course.

Welcome to the Prince of Persia Penitentiary!

(Get it? Sands of Time? That one movie? Eh, who cares. I never saw it either.)

I made this build because I thought that Jail could be a little less boring than a box. Something two-storied with a view is much better.

Anyways, yeah. Big hourglass jail. And I mean big. This thing is pretty massive. I forgot to check the block count while I was making it, but it took many stacks of supplies. Shoutout to Scam_Artist and Truth_X_ile for freebies.

Have fun with your inmates!

Complimentary views of Falmat, my (shared) island!

Hope to see you there sometime!

...On second thought, I hope NOT to see you there.

Also, is there any specific dimensions the jail cell needs to be?

I'm assuming adding on to a build doesn't count? Even if what you add on is more than was originally there?

Appeal a ban / Re: Glitched

To be fair, when you're being kicked as soon as you try to log on the server, its not a stretch to see how one could confuse being kicked with being banned.
