Title: Rule Command?
Post by: Craft_CraftMiner on June 01, 2015, 09:45:16 AM
Hopefully this idea is easily do-able...

I'm thinking that when new player come to the server there should be a command that the players do that tells them the rules in the chat window.  Once the rules have been read then the apply command can then be given to the player.  I don't know if it would be in a plug in or not but I think this could prevent a lot of hassle for the community and new players.  Those who wish to ignore the chat will not be added until they read the rules fully and are approved.

so it tells them to apply at the end of the rules? If you mean what i think you mean then i think thats a really good idea.

So they still got to be accepted by a v+ or staff? Because we would not have to tell people to read them.

I believe the rule of stealing is the most confusing to a new player that joins,
I'd like this to be clarified better so that they know what consists of stealing
and what is able to be taken. The only description is do not steal but we use
signs & as signs do work, not every new person knows about, they think just
if a chest is able to be opened you may take from it even though if you didn't
build it why take from it, also 'public' chests they haven't been told about
either so in all honesty it needs to be done in some manner or way.

New players now have to read the rules at spawn or type /rules to know how to get off the grey list.
