can we discuss changing some of the wlc rules?

me and a few of my friends share a home and it gets fairly annoying that everytime one of us wants to place a sign, furnace, crafting table, chest, etc that we need to change the setting to allow us to change it. if the doors automatically lock then why do we need locks on the other things?

The reason everything locks is because unless you get the entire area protected people can still break the walls to get inside.
